As you might have seen on Twitter, recently we’ve been putting lots of efforts into the in-house Mac<-> iOS remote development cloud.
Below, one of the Wizards sitting by a remote-desktop connection (not RDP) with an iPhone in country A, Mac in country B and himself in country C . Yeah, it’s for real, go figure.
Note the screenshot… within screenshot above.. was not taken from emulator comes from an actual iPhone. The amount of work involved in making this possible was and still is quite paramount. If you are from the Apple-development realm or virtualization realm… you might be familiar with the amount of roadblocks… presumable left there on purpose .
Additionally, in short we have decided to upgrade our entire test-net and development infrastructure. The entire process is almost accomplished. As a result none of holds a magnetic drive anymore. It’s all solid-state.
When it comes to formalities, Wizards already were on a phone call with Apple. They verified their identities and explained the Project’s rationale. Looks like they are in as an official Apple-platform development Team already! Congrats The Team!
What are the additional benefits of the in-house Mac-OS<-> iOS remote development cloud ? As our Development Team grows we’ll be able to spawn new Mac<->iOS development environments for additional members within minutes/hours. Everyone will be able to work 100% remotely. From a Linux/Windows or whatever client computer. Looking good, looking bright.
Anyway, looks like the iOS mobile app might be coming much sooner than expected!
